E-Type - Approximately 20 Hours £49.99
Many employers now require a recognised qualification in typing: e-type is the modern, relevant equivalent of the old RSA certificates, and teaches speed and accuracy through 10-finger touch typing. A BCS e-type certificate is proof of your skill and productivity, and can give your CV a real edge over that of an unqualified candidate. The focus of e-type is more on the accuracy of your typing than your speed. You will develop both during the course, but speed will come with time and practice. The course is both fun and flexible, as all candidates learn at their own pace. The e-type exams are an electronic 5 minute test of speed and accuracy, with the results displayed on-screen immediately after completion. Each candidate may make three attempts at the test.
There are three possible levels of achievement:
• Bronze - 20 words per minute at 98% accuracy
• Silver - 40 words per minute at 98% accuracy
• Gold - 60 words per minute at 98% accuracy
